This week is filled with vitamin rich greens full of freshness and nutrition with lots of salad greens. The weather has been cool this spring and dry as heck slowing growth down. Hopefully we can get some good berries after a total drought last spring we are facing the same issue again. Despite the challenges I have a nice selection of fresh food for you all including!
Crisp Lettuce: This lettuce has a good crunch but also leafy and probably best if you chop it up to your size liking with your favorite salad dressing.
Green Onions: These sweet onions are good raw on anything! I like topping stir fry with lots of them or soup or salad.
Edible Flowers: These are good on all your food to beautify your dish just give them a light rinse and dry on a paper towel first
Baby Kale- curly kale is a protein packed green can give you a lot of good energy to run on with healthy plant proteins and vitamins. Use it massaged with oil for salad or sautéed in oil or butter for other dishes. This first picking is lower baby leaves.
Pea Shoots- Microgreens this week are our sweet pea shoots. These are good in salad or at the end of a stir fry try them on top.
Radishes: Spring radish plantings are well balanced heat and crispy goodness, i got another planting in last week and will continue plantings through summer and fall
Thats the lineup for this week folks! \will be coming soon. I will be working hard out here’s always to get all these fresh veggies out the door to you and hope you all have a great week and enjoy the veggies! Thanks all and enjoy! -Kyle
