Recipe Types: Appetizer, Side Dish
A chef at the Waukesha farmers market last saturday made an interesting simple appetizer or side dish with our kohlrabi this week. I do not have the exact portions but the idea is very simple, so here it goes.Ingredients
- 1 or 2 kohlrabi diced into ¼ inch cubes
- ¼ cup cream (or milk with some corn starch)
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cube the kohlrabi up and heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan on medium heat
- Add the kohlrabi and cream and let simmer for about 10 minutes until the cream is reduced to a thicker consistency.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- One kohlrabi should serve two people.
