Hello CSA members!
This is the last week for the 2026 CSA season my 20th year in a row now! It’s been so much work putting so much thought, heart, time and energy into it every day since February. There is still much to do at the farm and markets continuing through October, If you all need any veggies come see me at the market stands! Market share members can still use their market shares through the end of the market season. Soon I will update the website to add sign up for next season and I will let you all know when that is ready. Thank you all so much for being CSA members, I am grateful for your commitment to my small farm and to be able to grow you and your families healthy food to nourish you and your family in an environmentally friendly way while raising a family at the same time. Here are this weeks crops.
Tomato: Our red slicers are still going for you all enough to give another week of tomatoes for the final week!
Cherry Tomatoes: These are going strong thanks to one of the new greenhouse I finished a few years ago now. In the past our outdoor cherry tomatoes would pitter out in early August usually to disease or end up tasting watered down so this give us up to two extra months of cherry tomatoes to enjoy and much better quality! Double portions for large shares on these.
Sweet Pepper: The peppers are ripening still but we are getting smaller ones now, these sweet red peppers are the still the best flavored peppers i’ve found ever partially red so ill pick as many as i have to to get you all a few of these this last week!
Microgreens: Our micro green this last week is Spicy Micro Mix! These are the classic micro salad we started with growing micros here at the farm years and years ago and perfect for sandwiches or salads either way
Kale: Curly kale, the most lovely of greens packed with proteins, and great for tanning also I learned this year! Our kale is still looking great going into fall!
Eggplant: One last week of these fruits, good sliced into medallions for stir fry or split the long way to grill or roast them with your favorite sauce to glaze them.
Thats all our crops for the last week! Thank you again for being CSA members this season! It’s been a pleasure to grow for you and feels great to feed the community and have you all as part of it and i’m thankful for you all! We had a great season and I hope you all enjoyed the food. It means a lot to me since i’ve devoted myself to building a farm from scratch 20 years ago! That means next year is my 21st anniversary farming!!! Thanks again from everyone here at the farm and I’ll let you all know when the next CSA season sign up is open! until then come visit the market stand for any veggies you may need and be well! I’ll see you for year 21 next season! I may be selling the business but haven’t found a buyer yet so I will either farm it myself next year or pass it on to someone who will farm it since its built out as an organic farm. Hopefully y’all will support the farm again next year and thank you all for your support this year and much love to you all. I hope to see you at one of the farmstands which will continue through fall if you need any veggies after this week.
