Greetings members!
Week sixteen and labor day week has arrived all ready! We have been planting for fall and weeding getting the new strawberry field in perfect condition for next season. Cleaning out spend tomato vines out of the greenhouses and continuing the work of harvesting cleaning and distributing all the fresh organic veggies we can! We have some more high quality crop variety for you this week. Here is this weeks crop list.
Garlic- Our garlic is well cured and dry so you can store it at room temp. do not refrigerate garlic or get it wet so a room temp dry place out of direct sunlight is best.
Sweet pepper will be in the shares this week and go great with some of your favorite proteins for pasta dishes, stir fries, tacos or stuffed peppers.
Cherry tomatoes- Our cherry tomatoes are still so healthy and productive so more large portions of these are coming this week
Jalapeno pepper: A little spice for your life, i’m sure you all know jalapeños well… some don’t like them but these should not be too hot just be careful when handling them as the oils can get on your hands and such.
Microgreens: Our micro green for this week is radish! with great flavor for salads, sandwiches, tacos, on top of stir fry
Radish: Red or purple french radish bunches for your salads, snacking and more!
Parsley: Flat Italian parsley for your salads, and pasta dishes
Kale: Curly and tender enough for salads or cooking with some garlic and tomato for a warm side.
Salad Mix: A Flavorful and slightly spicy blend of arugula, mustard, choi, kale, mizuna and lettuce.
Thats everything for this week! We have two weeks of the regular CSA left after this one, one including bi-weekly members which will be next week on week 17, and then one more week for full season members to finish off the summer on week 18. Until next week then folks, have a great holiday weekend and see you soon.
